What are Your Colours of 2021?
Updated: Jun 6
Sorry a little bit late to the party with this one, but thought for my first blog of 2021 we should discuss the colours of 2021.
Dulux have selected Brave Ground as their colour of 2021, a beautiful warm, earthy tone that can work as an incredible foundation to add bold colours and patterns to, or as a calming tone that that reflects a room for relaxing and enjoying. Either way it’s a truly stunning colour that I will definitely be using in my own home this year.
They've also created 4 new colour palettes, expressive colours, trust colours, timeless colours and earth colours. Each contain their colour of the year, Brave Ground, but each very different from the next with the warm reds of expressive colours to the earthy trust palette and the calming blues of the earth colours. These palettes are a great way to confidently mix colours in a room to create a unique space that reflects your personality.
Pantone have also released their colours of 2021. Two colours with very different tones that come together to complement and support each other beautifully. PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Grey and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating have been chosen to reflect 20
A beautiful reflection of the light at the end of the tunnel supported by never wavering foundation.
While the “Colours of the Year” are a great insight into trends and what works well and compliments one another, the thing I've learnt over the last 12 months, is to do you. If what you want more than anything is a hot pink kitchen have it, if you want a grey lounge do it. It's your home and must reflect you and your personality and ultimately be somewhere that you find peace and comfort.
